Accessibility Statement
This statement applies to all content published on the ibcnetworkuk.org domain which is the website of The Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network UK.
The website is run by the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network UK, and we are committed to enabling as many people as possible to be able to use this website.
The text should be clear and simple to understand. Visitors to our site should be able to:
zoom in up to 300% without problems;
navigate most of the website using just a keyboard;
navigate most of the website on different devices; and
navigate most of the website using speech recognition software or screen readers
Our website also supports Browsealoud. Browsealoud reads web pages aloud, has dual-colour text highlighting, screen masking, text magnification, web page simplifier, PDF reader, pronunciation modifier and can turn text into audio files.
It will also translate the text into a number of different languages. The service uses a version of Google Translate which relies on translations already available online – for this reason it may not always be 100% accurate.
As a Charity, we endeavour to make the website as accessible as possible for users with accessibility requirements. We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible
Many PDF research documents which we link to are not fully accessible to screen reader software due to the age of the documents.
Some images don’t have unique names, which will impact users with screen readers.

All new and updated code released in WordPress must conform with these guidelines as per the WordPress Accessibility Coding Standards. Some current features and functionality in development may not yet fully comply, and known issues are listed in the WordPress Trac “accessibility” focus. Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
Some of our older research publication links are to PDFs (modified before September 2018) which may not meet accessibility standards. For example the content is not structured or tagged correctly or is not fully accessible to screen readers.
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. Because these publications are outside of our service, please contact the provider directly.
